• Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) Thiruvananthapuram Admission to B.Tech -2011

    Eligibility:

    ISAT-2010 is open for Indian citizens only

    Date of birth: General, OBC category candidates should be born on or after October 1st, 1985 and others (SC/ST persons with physical disability) should be born on or after October 1st, 1980

    Qualifying-examination – class XII: Candidate must have passed XII standard or any equivalent examination for the first time in the calendar year 2009 or 2010, provided the results are available before 1st July 2010

    Minimum percentage of marks – class X exam: Candidates belonging to general and OBC categories must have at least 70% in all subjects combined and those belonging to SC, ST and PD categories must have at least 60%

    Minimum percentage of marks – class XII exam: Candidates belonging to general and OBC categories must have at least 70% in aggregate in physics, chemistry and mathematics (PCM) papers and those belonging to SC, ST and PD categories must have at least 60%.

    Selection Procedure:

    The Selection Procedure for B.Tech course is through the IIST admission test (ISAT – 2010). The test consists of two question papers of objective type, each of two hours duration having questions from physics, chemistry and mathematics.

    Application Form:

    The cost of Application Form is Rs. 500/- for male candidates in general and OBC categories, Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/PD and all female candidates
    Payment should be in the form of a demand draft drawn on any nationalized bank in favour of 'the Registrar, IIST' payable at Thiruvananthapuram
    Candidates should also submit the application online through IIST website

    Online registration begins from: 01st November, 2010
    Last Date for submitting the Form : 01 February ,2011
